In 2012, the best period was definitely April 3rd to April 10th in the Tokyo area. Among the Most recommended areas were Ueno Park, Meguro River, Shinjuku Gyoen, the Imperial Palace (especially a narrow street named Chidori-ga-Fuchi) and the expansive garden of the Hotel New Otani.
